Voices for Justive Food Drive

Voices for Justice held its 10th Annual Food Drive this winter collecting a large assortment of non-perishable food items. All food items were donated to the San Francisco Marin Food Bank providing several meals for people in need. 225,000 people rely on the help of the San Francisco Marin Food Bank each year including children in schools receiving snacks and seniors receiving home delivered groceries. Thank you to our community members for participating in our Annual Food Drive.

Free Breakfast Summer 2016

Dedicated to providing services for children and youth both locally and globally, Voices for Justice has generously donated to the Davidson Clubhouse, a program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Marin and Petaluma. The Davidson Clubhouse provides healthy snacks, breakfast, lunch, and engaging activities to at-risk children and youth in the summer months. 83% of the students that attend Davidson Middle School in San Rafael qualify for free or reduced price lunch.

Voices for Justice: Supporting Children and Youth Summer, 2016

Voices for Justice is a youth organization dedicated to providing services for children and youth both locally and globally. Voices for Justice has generously donated to the Davidson Clubhouse, a program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Marin and Petaluma. The Davidson Clubhouse provides healthy snacks, breakfast, lunch, and engaging activities to at risk children and youth in the summer months. 83% of the students that attend Davidson Middle School in San Rafael qualify for free or reduced lunch. In the summer months, many underserved youth have difficulty accessing healthy breakfast and lunch meals and often go hungry. The Boys and Girls Club of Marin & Petaluma serve over 5,300 youth, many of whom are at-risk. Voices for Justice represents a unified voice for every child whose rights have been denied and for every child whose voice has been silenced.  Voices for Justice supports the efforts of the United Nations Children’s Fund works for children’s rights, survival, development and protection with its monetary contributions. UNICEF works in more than 180 countries and territories providing health care, clean water, improved nutrition, and education to millions of children.

Baby Knit Cap Project, Healthcare and more:

Malawi, Africa

Voices for Justice launched an annual baby knit cap project. Your hand made knit caps will be donated to orphanages, hospitals, clinics and schools in Malawi, Africa. Malawi is one of the 11 poorest countries in Africa and there are 550,000orphaned children currently living in Malawi. The caps will be distributed through our collaboration with other humanitarian organizations.

Voices for Justice believes that all children deserve to have their basic needs met; therefore, we plan to provide warmth and comfort to many babies in need. We anticipate that this will be an annual project, therefore, please inquire if you are interested in participating.

Voices for Justice continues to support The Global Aids Interfaith Alliance’s works in Malawi, in creating long-term healthcare capacity through nursing scholarships, to empowering women, to caring for orphans and providing HIV treatment and prevention to vulnerable villagers.

Adopt a classroom in Central America

Collectively VFJ will continue its program in adopting a classroom in Central America, in 2016. Adopt a classroom in Central America is focused towards preschool aged children in rural areas.  We will continue to provide school supplies to each child, in selected area.

Food Drive

Voices for Justice has organized an ongoing food drive for the month of November. All non perishable donated food items will be distributed to a Bay Area Food Bank and will help low income families during the holiday season.

Voices for Justice Supports the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is a leading cause of death for women in the world

Three million women in the United States are living with breast cancer

In the past five years, 4.4 million women were diagnosed with breast cancer and survived. Voices for Justice continues to support The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and the Avon Foundation for promoting awareness and providing education throughout the world about the severity of breast cancer.
